ALEC Holdings recently took a significant step towards sustainable business practices by hosting a comprehensive procurement workshop that brought together representatives from all its business units in the UAE and KSA. Led by the ESG team, this full-day event focused on empowering participants with crucial knowledge about environmental, social, and governance risks within the supply chain.
The workshop, which began with opening remarks from CEO Barry Lewis and introduced new Group Director for Strategic Procurement Sofiya Poland FCIPS (Chartered), featured insightful presentations from heads of various departments including ESG, HSE & Worker Welfare, QA/QC, Logistics, and Internal Audit. Participants engaged in collaborative brainstorming sessions to strengthen reporting mechanisms and enhance procurement initiatives, demonstrating ALEC Holdings' commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable practices across its operations.
