Recognition

Ecovadis Sustainability Rating

The EcoVadis process validates our sustainability commitments, practices and performance by evaluating 21 sustainability criteria across Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis' ratings are based on UN Global Compact's 10 principles, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce's ESG Label

Dubai Chamber of Commerce's ESG Label is designed to help organisations evaluate their ESG readiness and maturity levels and encourage the business community to adopt and develop practices that have a positive impact on society and the environment, as well as promote good governance, by recognising participants’ efforts to advance sustainability.

United Nations Global Compact

ALEC became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative that promotes responsible business practices and the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2023. As participants of the UN Global Compact, ALEC has publicly committed to implementing the Ten Principles of the UNGC in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and  publicly reports its progress on these efforts annually.

Emirates Green Building Council

Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC) is an industry forum focused on enhancing sustainability in the built environment in the UAE through the promotion of high-performance green buildings and environmentally friendly technologies and products. We use this forum to showcase our best practices as well as learn from industry peers, supply chain partners on opportunities in decarbonising the sector.
